The Doorbell Ditch

I had several visitors to my house one evening. At the end of the night, shortly after many people left, my doorbell rang. "I guess someone forgot something," I thought to myself. I opened the door to see Chandra walking away. He had made his way down my walkway, almost all the way to the street. "Did you need something?" I asked.

He responded, "I just wanted to see if your doorbell worked."

Thanks, Chandra. It does.

Kate is a dumb

We were watching Lost, and there was a scene in which Kate does several things that impede what the rest of the group was trying to accomplish.

Chandra: Kate is a dumb!

To this day, we do not know if he meant to say, "Kate is a dumbass," or, "Kate is dumb." Either way, that was a weird.

Chandra tried to lend me a book

At 9:30 last night, Chandra came by my cube to see if I got the book he left on my desk on Tuesday morning. He says he left it on my keyboard tray next to an old ice cream wrapper.

Problems with this:
1. While my desk is a little bit messy, I try to avoid collecting stuff on my keyboard tray. (it usually only has my keyboard and mouse on it..)
2. I have not eaten any ice cream this week, since Derek was in Disneyland.

Chandra admitted that he was in a rush, on his way to a meeting, but he did think my cube looked a little odd. He ignored the feeling and was proud of himself for remembering to leave the book for me.

Rene, Chandra and I spent about 15 minutes wandering around downstairs looking in peoples empty cubes to see if Chandra accidentally left the book for someone else. Chandra was sure he left the book in a standing cube in the same orientation as mine. He thought Ed Ceasar's cube looked a little bit familiar...

Has anyone seen a copy of Terry Pratchett's Good Omens left in their cube?
